Five days of flatpicking guitar with Roberto Dalla Vecchia in Falcade, in the Italian Dolomites.
I started this camp in 2005, and it is still one of my favorite parts of the year. Every summer, twenty guitarists and I spend five days together in a hotel in the Dolomites: lessons in small classes, jams, music every evening, and a concert on Saturday night.
Each camp has a guest instructor, so you learn from two teachers.
You should already play a little: some chords and a few rhythms. Knowing a bit about flatpicking helps, but you don’t need to be an expert. Most campers play for themselves, not for an audience, and nobody is here to compete.
People come from many countries, and all classes are in English.
All-inclusive: lessons, hotel, meals, from €830.
Partners and friends are welcome too, whether they play or not. And if they bring another acoustic instrument, the jams are even more fun.
